Taking the Stress out of UCAS

Taking the Stress out of UCAS

Choosing the right degree can seem like an uphill struggle especially when there are so many options. I can help to make this bumpy ride smoother by guiding students towards finding a degree that they will enjoy, as well as a university that fits with their aspirations. I have guided over 800 students through their UCAS applications, and I get a huge amount of joy seeing all the offers come in.

A Broad Range of Subjects and 160+ Universities

There are over 50,000 degree choices at over 160 universities across the UK. Subjects include all combinations; Sciences, Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities. Some students prefer to study a single honours degree, for example Economics, whilst others may prefer to study a joint honours degree, for example History and French. Be it vocational training for Medicine and other NHS healthcare professions; exploring creative talent at art school; specialising in a specific period of history or literature or languages. Whatever the subject, there will be a degree for it.

Competitive Applications

Some students are very self-assured about their degree choices and others need more support.  Either way they need to research their options thoroughly if they are to make a competitive application. My experience is in mentoring students though this process, so that they draw the maximum amount of university offers from top universities across the UK.

Personal Statements

Encouraging students to write their own drafts is essential. I can help with structure and make suggestions for content, so that they present themselves as strong candidates.

University Offers

My mission is to make sure that students target their applications towards receiving a full set of 5 out of 5 offers, however there is no guarantee on university decisions. My experience will help ensure that students include degree choices that reflect their ambitions as well as their academic achievements to date taking predicted grades into consideration.

Interviews for Competitive Degrees

I have access to tutors who specialise in a broad range of subjects, all of whom have studied at leading universities and are skilled at helping students with interviews. Early applicants are invited for interview after their applications have been scrutinised by admissions tutors for Oxbridge, Medicine, Dentistry & Veterinary as well as other health-related degrees.

Academic Reference and Predicted Grades

UCAS applications need to be supported by an academic reference written by a tutor who knows the student and their academic abilities.  Subject references must reflect on performance at high school/college and suitability for the degree.
